World Of Warcraft Alliance Leveling Guide: Mage Tips

Whether you are just getting started with World of Warcraft or you are looking for an interesting alt to play, you may wish to take a look at the Mage class. Mages are one of WoW’s caster classes and you’ll find that there are lots of great advantages when you are looking at playing them. Take a look and see if this class appeals to you!

You have to keep in mind the fragility of the Mage. They don’t have the healing power of Priests, and they’re not like Warlocks, who have friends to tank for them. As a result, you might not find a more vulnerable cloth wearer in the game.

Mages make up for their shortcomings in healing powers and tanks with the ability to inflict serious damage from a distance. For this reason, they are often referred to as “the glass cannons”. When fighting, you will be able to defeat your adversaries from a nearly unreachable distance, but you must take care to ensure that your enemy does not advance close enough to hurt you! If this does happen, you can use Blink to get yourself out of your adversary’s range instantly.

It is worth noting that you can advance in the game considerably quicker if you are part of a group. In the beginning, Mages are helpful with their Polymorph spells and also good with DPS, so they are advantageous characters to have in a group. As you begin to level up and advance through the game, you will start to focus on things like making food for the group, and casting away negative effects.

Mages are only able to get cloth armor, so when you are shopping for gear for your character you should focus on getting armor with the most beneficial bonuses. Bonuses you should look for in your gear would be ones that add to your spell power or intellect and stamina ratings. Remember these tips when shopping for your character, as they will increase your chances for survival. Something else to consider that can help you survive in WoW are the professions to choose from. Enchanting can increase the effectiveness of the items in your inventory, and Tailoring helps you create cloth armor. Do not forget, however, you will be able to brew healing potions, not to mention Lifeblood, by choosing Herbalism as your profession in World of Warcraft.
